What is Epoxy?

Epoxies are basically high-strength plastics. There are literally thousands of formulations used for everything from artificial trees in a zoo to gluing heat shields on the space shuttle. Epoxies consist of a resin and a hardener which when mixed together causes the two materials to react and harden.
